Long Suit Distribution Points (LSDP)
The contract you can bid up to is decided by the points you and your partner hold. There are two different techniques used for counting your distribution points. The first you use when you have no idea what your partner’s hand contains is using extra length over and above 4 cards in a suit.
It is called ‘Long Suits distribution points’ (LSDP for short) to calculate distribution points (LSDP’s).
In Lesson 4 we counted your HCPHigh Card Points (HCP) Honour cards (the Ace (A) the King (K) the Queen (Q) the Jack (J) and the Ten (10) in each suit, each of these cards is has a different points value called HCP = High Card Points. There are a total of 40 points in the entire pack of card....
Now we use the number of cards above and beyond a 4 card holding in each suit to give you extra
points. These are called distribution pointsStands for Distribution points

what is X take out double and how can I make it
Have doubles been explained before this hand is played?
I tried to follow the commentary but get lost after it says loss the heart and diamonds…. If I lose my last heart, EW comes back with the HQ. If I trump it and continue the best I scored was 9 tricks, which is over game. but the commentary says you can win 10?????
I have no idea what is going on here. Took me half an hour to go off and find out what doubles were. And then the hint is different from what you should bid? Confusing.
Since you only have 1diamond and 1spade do you get a point each for them?
-the opposition compete and bid 3H (so irritating!)
The completion only bid 2H in practice game bidding.
